Applies to: the InnerReset app for iPhone and the website innerreset.life

1. Agreement

1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Rabiata LLC governing your use of InnerReset.

1.2 The app links to these Terms on its welcome screen, before you buy and in Settings. You accept them when you make your first creation, create an account, or start a trial or plan.

1.3 Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Accepting these Terms is not consent to the use of sensitive data about you; the app asks for that consent separately before your first creation.

1.4 For any question, complaint, request or legal notice, write to support@innerreset.life. This address is also our single point of contact for users and public authorities under the EU Digital Services Act. We answer in English and French, and a person reads what you send.

1.5 A "consumer" is a person using InnerReset outside their trade, business or profession. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights that the law gives consumers and that a contract cannot exclude.

2. What InnerReset is

2.1 InnerReset is a self-reflection audio app. From what you write or say, it creates personal audio ("artifacts"):

  • Carries: short spoken messages made from what you share. Some are imagined words ("imagined Carries"), such as words you wish someone in your life had said, or words from an older version of yourself.
  • Mind Tracks: short first-person self-talk tracks. You approve the exact lines before they are spoken.

2.2 Artifacts can include a synthetic voice, a music bed, ambient sound, a tone layer and, for Carries, optional cover art. The app also keeps a private Journey of the intentions you return to. No other user sees your artifacts.

3. What InnerReset is not

3.1 InnerReset is not a medical device and not therapy, psychotherapy, counselling, coaching or a crisis service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it makes no health, treatment or outcome claims.

3.2 No effect on your health, mood, sleep or behaviour is promised or intended. If you have a health concern, consult a doctor or another qualified professional. Do not stop or delay treatment because of InnerReset.

3.3 Artifacts are creative, personal content, not facts, advice, diagnosis or predictions. They can bring up strong feelings, especially an imagined Carry from someone who has died or is estranged. You can stop listening at any time.

4. AI, safety and crisis

4.1 Artifacts are written and voiced by artificial-intelligence models. Every voice is synthetic, including one that speaks as a person in your life. You are not talking to a human.

4.2 Automated safety screening. An automated system reads what you share for signs that you may be at risk. If it finds signs of immediate risk, it stops the creation and shows you crisis resources; no artifact is made and the credits held for it are returned. If it finds signs of distress that are not immediate, the artifact is still made, written in a more protective way.

4.3 The screening can miss risk or flag risk that is not there. Nobody at InnerReset watches your creations as they are made, and we do not contact emergency services or anyone else for you, except where section 15.6 applies. If you think the screening got it wrong, write to us and a person will review it.

4.4 If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, contact emergency services now (112 in Europe, 911 in the United States). In France you can call 3114. In the United States you can call or text 988. InnerReset cannot help you in an emergency.

5. Eligibility, welcome credits, guests and accounts

5.1 You must be at least 18 years old. Before your first creation the app asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older. We close accounts we reasonably believe belong to someone younger.

5.2 Welcome credits. When you first use InnerReset, as a guest or with an account, you receive 20 welcome credits, once per person. They are free, are valid for 30 days and cover about two creations at current prices (section 8.3). If you sign in, your welcome credits come with you; an account does not receive a second set. If you start a trial or a plan, your welcome credits join it and then follow section 8.5.

5.3 Guests. You can use InnerReset on a device without an account. The guest identity is tied to that device. What you made as a guest joins your account if you sign in on that device. Guest data unused for 30 days may be deleted.

5.4 Accounts. You need an account for a trial, a plan and a library across devices. You can sign in with Apple or with a code sent to your email address. One account per person; it is personal and cannot be transferred. Keep access to it secure.

6. Plans, trials and payment

6.1 Plans. InnerReset Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple In-App Purchase:

Plan Price Renews
Premium Monthly €14.99 per month Every month
Premium Annual €99.99 per year (an introductory first year at €79.99 may be offered) Every year

If we offer another plan, the app will show its price and what it includes before you buy.

6.2 Apple shows the price in your local currency before you buy, including VAT where required; prices may differ by country. Apple charges your Apple ID when you confirm. Apple is the seller of the subscription and handles payment, billing and refunds; we supply the service.

6.3 Renewal. Your plan renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends and sends the notices required by law.

6.4 Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, free of charge: in the app from "Manage subscription" in the plan sheet, or in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep your plan until the end of the period already paid.

6.5 Free trial. When offered, a trial lasts 7 days and includes 25 creation credits. You need an account. Apple confirms your eligibility and shows the price of the paid plan before you start. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the plan you chose starts and Apple charges it. When the paid plan starts, unused trial credits end.

6.6 If a plan bought on another device is not recognised, use "Restore Purchases".

6.7 Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; you can ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not personalise prices by automated decision-making.

7. Statutory cancellation rights

7.1 Because Apple sells the subscription, any statutory right to cancel or withdraw from the purchase that the law of your country gives you as a consumer (for example the 14-day right in the European Union and the United Kingdom) is exercised through Apple, under Apple's Media Services Terms, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

7.2 Where the law requires us to accept such a request directly, you can also use Settings → Subscription → "Withdraw from contract here" in the app, which records your request and gives you a dated acknowledgement, or write to support@innerreset.life. Your artifacts stay in your library (section 21.4).

7.3 Nothing in these Terms reduces a statutory cancellation right.

8. Creation credits

8.1 Creating uses creation credits. Credits measure the use included in your welcome credits, a trial or a plan. They are not a currency, have no cash value and cannot be bought separately.

8.2 What you receive. Premium includes 100 credits each month; with Premium Annual they are released monthly. Your balance from a plan is limited to 150 credits. When new monthly credits arrive, up to 50 unused credits carry over and any others expire.

8.3 What things cost. Before any action that costs credits, the app shows the cost and what you have left.

Action Cost
A new Carry 10 credits
A long Carry (when you allow it) 10 credits, plus 1 for each 40 words (or part of 40) beyond 220 words, up to 16 in total
A new Mind Track 8 credits
Changing the words of an artifact 6 credits; your first change is free
Changing the voice 5 credits
Cover art for a Carry 4 credits
Changing the atmosphere up to 1 credit

8.4 Holds and returns. We hold the credits while a creation is made and take only what it actually costs. If it fails, or safety screening stops it, we return them. Returned credits keep their original expiry and count toward the 150 limit.

8.5 When your plan ends. Your remaining credits stay on your account but cannot be spent until a plan is active again. If you start a plan again, up to 50 of them carry into your first new month and the rest expire. Trial credits end when the trial ends.

8.6 Credits cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.

8.7 Your library is never locked. With no credits or no plan, you can still listen to and download your artifacts and export your data.

8.8 Credit costs and allocations change only as section 19 allows.

9. Your content

9.1 "Your content" is what you share with InnerReset: what you type, what you say (turned into text), your answer to a clarifying question, your intentions and your Journey.

9.2 You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it only to run InnerReset for you: to create, store, play, export and delete your artifacts, to keep the service safe, and to meet legal duties. The licence ends when your content is deleted, except for what the law requires us to keep.

9.3 We do not sell your content, we do not use it to train AI models, and we never show it to other users. The Privacy Policy explains which providers process it and under what limits.

9.4 You are responsible for your content. Share only what you have the right to share.

10. Your artifacts

10.1 As between you and us, we assign to you any rights we have in the text and audio made for you.

10.2 In many countries, AI-made content is not protected by copyright, or only partly. The AI may produce similar words, music or images for others. We cannot promise that an artifact is unique or that anyone can stop others copying it.

10.3 Voices, music beds, ambient sounds, tone layers and cover-art styles belong to us or our licensors. We license them to you, as part of your artifacts, for personal, non-commercial listening and personal sharing. This licence continues after your plan ends.

10.4 You may not sell, license or rent artifacts, use them in advertising or a commercial product, upload them to music streaming services, register them with a rights-matching system such as Content ID, extract a voice, music bed or sound layer to use on its own, or use artifacts to train or test an AI model.

10.5 Before a Carry is voiced, an automated performance pass adds delivery cues, such as pauses and emphasis, and may lightly edit the words so they sound natural. The words you see are the words you hear. Once an artifact is made, we never rewrite it unless you ask.

11. Imagined speech of real people

11.1 In the app, an imagined Carry is labelled as imagined. You must not remove, hide or change any label or mark that shows an artifact or its cover art is AI-generated or imagined.

11.2 An imagined Carry is fiction, written by AI at your request from what you shared. It is not a recording, not that person's voice, and not a statement by them. We may decline to voice someone you describe as having harmed you, or write from another perspective instead.

11.3 You will not present an artifact as the real words or real voice of a real person; use it to deceive anyone, including in a scam or to impersonate someone; send it to the person it imagines, or to others about them, to harass, threaten, shame or pressure anyone; include false statements of fact that could harm an identifiable living person; or create sexual content about a real person.

11.4 If you take an artifact out of the app, you are responsible for sharing it lawfully. If it gives words to a real, named or recognisable person, keep the AI and imagined labels with it and, where the law requires, obtain that person's consent first. In several countries, including France, sharing AI-generated speech attributed to a real person without their consent is a criminal offence unless it is clearly identified as AI-generated.

12. Sound layers and listening modes

12.1 Sound layers and listening modes are listening choices. No health effect is intended or promised.

12.2 Tone layers you can add: a steady tone at a pitch you choose; a binaural-style layer with two slightly different tones, one in each ear (headphones recommended); an isochronic layer with a gentle, regular pulse.

12.3 Listening modes for Mind Tracks. "Clear" puts your words in front, "Quiet" sets them lower, and "Subliminal" plays your approved words low in the mix. There are no hidden messages: you hear exactly the lines you approved, only quieter. The app asks you to confirm before using this mode.

12.4 Listening safety. Keep the volume moderate. Do not listen while driving or when you need to stay alert. Stop if you feel discomfort. If you have epilepsy or are sensitive to pulsing sounds, ask a doctor before using pulsed layers.

13. Voices, music and cover art

13.1 Voices are synthetic performance styles from a catalogue, not the voice of the person a Carry imagines, nor a copy of anyone you know. InnerReset does not clone voices.

13.2 Music beds and ambient sounds come from our own or licensed sources. Optional cover art is made with AI.

13.3 We or our providers may retire a voice, model, music bed or cover style for a reason in section 19.2. It can then no longer be used for new creations. Artifacts you already made stay playable and downloadable.

14. Acceptable use

14.1 You must use InnerReset lawfully and respect other people. You must not create, request or share content that threatens, harasses, stalks or intimidates anyone, including the person a Carry imagines; is sexual and involves a real, identifiable person, or sexualises minors in any way; deceives, including fake recordings or statements of real people, scams, or impersonation; makes false statements of fact that harm an identifiable living person; promotes terrorism, violent extremism, hatred or violence; encourages anyone to harm themselves; markets a treatment, cure or health benefit to others; infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or personality rights; or clones, or tries to clone, anyone's voice.

14.2 You must not get around safety screening or credit controls, use bots or scripts to create artifacts, or scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the app or our servers.

14.3 The usage policies of the AI providers that make artifacts also apply to what you ask InnerReset to make. Where they are stricter than these Terms, the stricter rule applies.

15. Moderation, reports and appeals

15.1 Automated systems check what you share and what the AI writes; they can decline a creation, write it more protectively, or show crisis resources (section 4). A person reviews reports, complaints and any measure against an account.

15.2 If content or conduct breaks these Terms or the law, we may decline a creation (credits returned), remove an artifact, limit a feature, or suspend or end your account. We act carefully, objectively and in proportion, choosing the lightest measure that fits.

15.3 When we act against your content or account, we tell you what we did, the facts, the rule or law, whether automated means were used, and how to appeal. An automatic decline of one creation is explained on screen.

15.4 You can appeal any measure by emailing support@innerreset.life within 6 months. A person reviews it, answers with reasons, and reverses the measure if it was wrong. You may also go to court or, in the EU, to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body where one is available.

15.5 Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or against these Terms by email, including a person who believes an artifact imagines them. Say where the content is, why you object, and your name and email, and confirm the report is accurate and made in good faith. We confirm receipt, decide promptly and tell you the outcome.

15.6 If we learn of information suggesting a threat to someone's life or safety, we may inform the competent authorities, as the law requires.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights. If you live in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut, see also our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.

17. Our intellectual property and the app licence

17.1 The InnerReset app, website, name, logo, artwork, design, prompts and software belong to us or our licensors.

17.2 We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these Terms and Apple's Usage Rules. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

18. Third-party services

InnerReset relies on Apple (App Store, payments, sign-in, speech recognition), a subscription-management service, hosting and storage providers, an email delivery service, and AI providers for text, images and speech. A creation can be slow or fail when a provider is unavailable; if it fails, your credits are returned.

19. Changes to the service, prices and credits

19.1 We may change InnerReset, including its features, a plan's price, the credits a plan includes, what actions cost, and voices, models or music, only for a valid reason and as this section describes.

19.2 Valid reasons: a change in the law, or a decision of a court or authority; safety, security, or preventing fraud or misuse; a provider changing, repricing or withdrawing a model, voice, music source or service we rely on; a real change in our costs of providing the service; improving the service or adding features; fixing errors or keeping the service in conformity.

19.3 Notice. We tell you at least 30 days before a change that affects you negatively, in the app or by email, explaining what changes, when, and your rights. For a price increase, Apple also asks for your consent where the law requires.

19.4 Your right to leave. If a change affects you negatively, other than in a minor way, you may end your contract free of charge within 30 days of our notice or of the change, whichever is later, and we refund the unused part of any period paid in advance. This does not apply if we keep the unchanged version available to you at no extra cost. A change never costs you more, or reduces your credits, for a period already paid.

19.5 If we stop InnerReset or a plan, we give you at least 30 days' notice, you can download and export your data before it closes, and we refund the unused part of any period paid in advance.

20. Changes to these Terms

20.1 We may change these Terms for a valid reason in section 19.2 or to describe a new feature. We tell you at least 30 days before new Terms apply to you, in the app or by email, with a summary of the changes.

20.2 A change that materially affects your rights or obligations applies to you only once you accept it. If you do not accept, you may end your contract free of charge, with a refund of the unused part of any period paid in advance, and you keep your library. Until you accept, the earlier Terms keep applying to you.

20.3 Changes that do not reduce your rights, such as corrections, apply when published.

21. Ending the contract and deleting your account

21.1 By you. You can stop at any time: cancel your plan (section 6.4) and, if you wish, delete your account in the app's Settings.

21.2 Deletion. When you confirm account deletion in the app, your account and your content are deleted at once. This cannot be undone. Audio and image files are removed from storage shortly afterwards, normally within 24 hours. If you delete a single Carry or Mind Track, you can ask us to restore it within 14 days. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription: cancel that too.

21.3 By us. We may suspend or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms or the law, or to prevent harm. Except in an emergency or where the law forbids it, we warn you first and give you time to respond, and we always give a statement of reasons (section 15.3). If we end your account without fault on your side, we refund the unused part of any period paid in advance.

21.4 Your library. When your plan ends, you keep your artifacts. You can listen to and download them, and export your data, until you delete them or your account.

21.5 Sections that by their nature continue after the contract ends survive, including sections 10, 11 and 22 to 27.

22. Legal guarantee of conformity

22.1 We must supply InnerReset as described in these Terms and in the app, with the quality you can reasonably expect, including the updates needed to keep it in conformity. Nothing in these Terms limits the legal guarantee.

22.2 If InnerReset does not conform, write to support@innerreset.life. We will bring it into conformity without undue delay and at no cost to you. Where the law allows, you may instead obtain a price reduction or end the contract with a refund, made through Apple.

22.3 For consumers in France, the French version of these Terms contains the statutory notice on the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the Code de la consommation) and on latent defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the Code civil).

23. Liability

23.1 If you are a consumer living in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss or damage we could not foresee, or for business losses, because InnerReset is for personal use. We do not cap this liability at a fixed amount.

23.2 If you live in the United States or anywhere not covered by 23.1:

  • InnerReset is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to InnerReset is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid for InnerReset in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 100.
  • These limits do not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to our gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud or violation of law.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages; there, some of these exclusions or limits may not apply to you.

23.3 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or any liability the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

24. Indemnity

If you live in the United States, you agree, to the extent the law allows, to cover our reasonable costs, including lawyers' fees, of third-party claims caused by your breach of section 11 or 14. This section does not apply to consumers living in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland.

25. Force majeure

We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control whose effects we could not reasonably avoid, such as a natural disaster, war, epidemic, power or internet failure, an act of an authority, or an outage at Apple, a hosting provider or an AI provider. We will tell you and resume as soon as we can. If the service stops for more than 30 days in a row, you may end your contract with a refund of the unused part of any period paid in advance. This section does not affect section 22.

26. Governing law and disputes

26.1 If you are a consumer living in the EU, EEA or UK, these Terms are governed by the law of your country of residence. You may bring a claim in the courts where you live or, if you prefer, in the courts of Wyoming. We may bring a claim against you only in the courts where you live. You may also refer a dispute to a consumer mediation body or your national consumer-protection authority; mediation is voluntary and never required before going to court.

26.2 If you live in the United States or elsewhere, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the state or country where you live, which continue to apply. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law gives you the right to go to the courts where you live. Either of us may bring an individual claim in a small-claims court that has jurisdiction.

26.3 Other countries. These Terms apply wherever you live. Where the law of your country or state gives you a right that these Terms do not mention, or forbids a clause in these Terms, your law prevails for you and the rest of these Terms stays in force. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a guarantee, right or remedy that the law of your country does not allow us to exclude or limit.

26.4 Australia and New Zealand. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. For a major failure you are entitled to cancel the contract and to a refund of the unused part, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage; for any other failure you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time. Sections 23 and 26.2 apply only to the extent those laws allow.

26.5 Canada and Quebec. If you are a consumer living in Quebec, these Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada and disputes go to the courts of Quebec; nothing in these Terms requires you to arbitrate or prevents you from joining a class action; the French version of these Terms was made available to you and you may rely on either version. Elsewhere in Canada, your provincial consumer-protection law prevails over any conflicting clause.

26.6 Export controls and sanctions. You may not use InnerReset if you are in a country or region under a comprehensive United States embargo, or if you are on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

27. App Store terms

27.1 These Terms are between you and Rabiata LLC only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

27.2 If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claims or losses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.

27.3 Rabiata LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or privacy claims, and for investigating, defending, settling and discharging any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.

27.4 You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app.

27.5 Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.

27.6 These Terms are the licence agreement for the app. If Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, these Terms prevail where the two differ, to the extent Apple's rules and the law allow.

28. Language

28.1 These Terms are published in English and in French (innerreset.life/fr/terms/). For consumers living in France, the French version prevails; for everyone else, the English version prevails. You can contact us in either language.

28.2 If a term is unclear, it is read in the way most favourable to you as a consumer.

29. General

29.1 These Terms and any extra terms we show you for a specific feature are the whole agreement between you and us about InnerReset.

29.2 If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we do not give it up.

29.3 You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to another company, for example if InnerReset is sold, provided your rights stay the same. We will tell you first, and you may then end your contract with a refund of the unused part of any period paid in advance.

29.4 We send notices in the app or by email. Send yours to support@innerreset.life.
